The organization’s website describe’s the event as “the fashion and lifestyle trade event that fuses the best high-end, progressive brands and directional, independent designers,” and the New York edition regularly welcomes a host of major designers and buyers.
The excellent location of the Bata Heritage booth, coupled with interesting displays and visual merchandising props, brought a consistent flow of buyers and media personnel to view the collection and learn the latest developments with the brand.
The merchandising of the booth changed constantly throughout the three days of the show, in order to highlight the diversity of colors in the SS18 collection. Gift bags were also distributed to buyers, which helped to project the cool, fun atmosphere of the brand. The gift bags consisted of a Bata Heritage tote bag, a pin set, pencils and stickers. The Bata Heritage SS2018 Lookbook, shot by Mathias Fennetaux in Paris, was also included in the gift bags.
A number of important, key retailers visited the Bata Heritage booth over the course of the show, and expressed significant interest in the new collection, including: Urban Outfitters, Gentry, Bloomingdales, Steve Madden, Lucky Selectism and Adhoc Store.
Speaking about the presence of Bata Heritage at Capsule New York, Julien Carlus, of the Carlus marketing and public relations agency, commented: “The response was great to be honest. Buyers recognize the brand which is something completely new. They find it easy to mix with others, and some stores made selections.”
